Two years later and it’s still chugging along just as good as day one. Very little maintenance required. Great with fish and without. Dropped it into a fountain of opaque, brown water, and it was clear within the hour. This photo is through my living room window because I didn’t want to scare away the hawk.

Have had a 100 gal outdoor water feature for a year. Despite cleaning the pump filters and replacing all of the water periodically within days the brown algae would make the water absolutely brown. I tried all sorts of chemicals for algae with no results. Could not see any of the rocks, fish, etc. just disgusting brown water.
A friend told me I needed a UV light system. Did a lot of research and with some degree of skepticism I bought this pump about 3 months ago. The water was crystal clean within 4 days and has stayed that way ever since. I have used no chemicals since. This device is amazing.

I have a very small 90 gallon pond that houses several shubunkins and I can’t count how many frogs have moved in. I have never filtered this pond so it is usually so green with algae you can only see the fish when they are at the top for feeding. My last pond pump died so I decided to try this filter not expecting anything but water flow. To my absolute delight and surprise, this little filter had my water clear to the bottom within a week. The cons are that you have to get on your hands and knees to pull this thing out if the water and clean the filter pad daily until the water clears. After that it requires weekly cleaning. I recommend not putting this filter on the very bottom. I have mine on a paving stone. One of the pictures I posted is of the fish hanging out at the bottom of a 3 ft section of the pond. I highly recommend this filter for small ponds.

It was easy to install. It comes with a few attachments so you can get different spray patterns. Has a long cord to get to power. Overall,lt seems like a good buy. It will make a good addition to the pond.
