This was a lot heavier of a grate than we previously had in our fireplace. With the old one, the logs/wood would roll off the back of the grate. Also, the previous owner had used one too small for our fireplace’s size.
This one fits great and it holds the logs very well. I am not disappointed in the grate. Let’s see how long it will last under intense heat coming off wood fires, but should be perfectly fine with gas fires.
