I mainly purchased this to use as a background for my many Zoom meetings during the pandemic. I wanted something different, and this was definitely different from the usual translucent room dividers. When the divider has a lot of light on it – such as during the daytime – it doesn’t look too bad as a background. However, when it is dark outside and I have no light coming through my winder, it appears pitch black. (I use a ring light to illuminate my face, and one can only see my face and any light-colored clothing “floating.”) So, I don’t think it looks great for this purpose, and I probably would have gone with another option had I known this. (Of course, if that’s the kind of background you’re looking for, this might be for you.)
