I can’t vouch for how this would work in a large space, but we got it for my child’s room 120sf that is always stifling hot. It ran all summer and did just fine. He was very happy. I did put it on a rubber under-the-sink spill tray (also on Amazon) just in case it leaked condensation it wouldn’t ruin the floor. Happy to say it never leaked, and the mat kept the carpet from getting permanent foot indentations.
