Because of the weight of the pieces, and a bit of awkwardness while trying to hold pieces in position, it does take two people to assemble. Plus, even though many pieces are supposedly identical, the slight differing in the bent of them causes some trial and error of placing them in satisfactory positions. However, once it’s completed, it is a very nice item worth the effort and good price.

Although it is built with heavy duty looking material, it has already failed. I bought this based on it being represented as heavy duty and wouldn’t fail in a fireplace. The steel should be higher quality. I do not recommend this product.
